Mad Hattery! Classic: The Spanish Royal Wedding (2004)

Time for another blast from the Hattery past, readers! This time, we're headed to May 22, 2004, when the Prince of Asturias married news anchor Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano. Grab a glass of champers, kick back, and enjoy!

Ah, the lovely Letizia in her first tiara — the Prussian Tiara that she has worn multiple times since her wedding day. (Head on over to today's post at The Court Jeweller for more on this century-old sparkler!) I like the tiara, and I love the veil, but I feel like what should have looked delicate and elegant on Letizia was ruined by the high collar of her Manuel Pertegaz wedding gown.  Leti is a little lady, and this just dwarfed her.
